Learn how to connect Cova to Klaviyo. This integration lets you automatically:
You'll need a Klaviyo account you can authorize and Cova API credentials for your company. Cova doesn't let retailers generate credentials themselves — you request them from Cova API Support and they email back a credentials block containing five values plus your full location list.
One set of credentials covers any number of locations under a single Cova company, and those stores can span different states or provinces. If you run separate Cova companies, each one needs its own install.
Pricing: $49 per location per month.
Email Cova API Support to request API access. They'll send back a block containing your Client ID, Client Secret, Username, Password, and Company ID, along with your location list. Keep that email — you can paste it straight into the installer later.
Go here to create an account or sign in and begin the Cova install.
Click Connect Klaviyo and approve the read and write permissions. This is standard OAuth — there's no API key to copy.
Paste the entire email from Cova into the paste box and we'll read all five values out of it, or enter them by hand: Client ID, Client Secret, Username, Password, and Company ID. We validate against Cova immediately, so a typo surfaces here rather than as a silent failure later.
We pull your live location list from Cova and pre-tick the retail storefronts. Back-office and non-retail entities are listed but left unticked. Your selection sets your billing quantity.

After install, here's what happens automatically:
Every customer syncs as a profile regardless of consent, but only opted-in customers join the consent list. Klaviyo unsubscribes are never overwritten by Cova consent flags.
