You will learn

The Squarespace integration sends your Squarespace contacts, email consent, orders and product catalog to Klaviyo, so you can build flows and segments from real store data. Your full history is imported first, then new contacts and orders arrive in real time.

  • How to connect your Squarespace site and Klaviyo account
  • What data syncs to Klaviyo and how often
  • How email consent is handled
  • How to turn on onsite tracking for browse and cart abandonment flows

Before you begin

  • A Squarespace site with Commerce, and owner or admin access to it
  • A Klaviyo account with admin access
  • For onsite tracking (optional): a Squarespace plan with Code Injection (Core, Plus or Advanced, or a legacy Business or Commerce plan)

Pricing: Free for up to 50 orders a month. Paid plans start at $15 a month.

PlanOrders per monthPrice

Integrate Squarespace with Klaviyo

1Create your KAV Labs account

Go to app.kavlabs.co/squarespace/install and sign up or log in.

2Connect Squarespace

Click Connect Squarespace, pick your site and approve access. We use this to read contacts, orders and products, and to set up the webhooks that keep them in sync. You never need to paste a URL into Squarespace.

3Connect Klaviyo

Click Connect Klaviyo and approve access for the Klaviyo account you want your data in.

4Start syncing

Click Continue. We import your full contact and order history, set up real time updates, and sync your product catalog. You can watch progress on the Sync Status page.

5Turn on onsite tracking (optional, recommended)

Go to Onsite tracking in KAV Labs and copy the one line snippet. In Squarespace, open Website → Pages → Custom Code → Code Injection, paste it into the Header box and save. This tracks Viewed Product, Added to Cart and Started Checkout so you can run browse and cart abandonment flows.

✓Done!

Your Squarespace data is now flowing into Klaviyo. Contacts who opted in on Squarespace are in your Squarespace Subscribers list, and Placed Order, Ordered Product and the other order events are ready to use in flows and segments.

FAQs

New and updated contacts and orders arrive in real time through Squarespace webhooks. A regular background check catches anything missed (hourly on paid plans, every 6 hours on Free). Your product catalog refreshes every 6 hours on paid plans and daily on Free.

Yes. On install we import every contact and your full order history. History never counts toward your monthly order limit.

People who opted in to marketing on Squarespace are subscribed to a Klaviyo list called "Squarespace Subscribers" with their original opt-in date. New unsubscribes on Squarespace are passed to Klaviyo. We never resubscribe anyone who unsubscribed in Klaviyo. You can choose a different list on the Configuration page.

No. If a contact has a valid phone number on their shipping address, we add it to their Klaviyo profile, but without SMS consent.

Contacts and email consent always keep syncing. New orders over your monthly limit wait instead of going to Klaviyo, and you'll get an email before that happens. Upgrade at any time and every held order is sent to Klaviyo straight away.

Only for onsite tracking (Viewed Product, Added to Cart, Started Checkout). Everything else works without code. Squarespace doesn't allow code on checkout pages, so Placed Order always comes from our server sync, not the snippet.

Free for up to 50 orders a month. Paid plans start at $15 a month for 250 orders. See the pricing table above.

Uninstall from KAV Labs, or remove the extension inside Squarespace. We stop syncing and remove the webhook. Data already in Klaviyo stays there.
